Quijano defeats Lozano on Telemundo

In a crossroads super flyweight fight, former world title challenger David “Dabo” Quijano (16-5-1, 9 KOs) of Caguas, Puerto Rico, won a ten round unanimous decision over formerly world ranked local favorite Daniel “Alacrán” Lozano (13-4, 10 KOs) of Bowling Greens, Florida on Friday night at the A La Carte Pavillion in Tampa, Florida. Scores were 95-94 twice and 96-93 for Quijano, who was deducted a point in round nine. Quijano wins the WBO interim Latin super flyweight title.
